Fuel is a social volunteer group of adults who support the City of St. Louis. We partner with City community and neighborhood groups to ensure their projects are successful by supplying volunteers’ for 1-2 day projects, events, and fundraisers. We work a variety of events and we ask our members to sign up for at least two volunteer shifts per year. We also sponsor social events for our members. Daffodil Day at Carondelet Park Boathouse

Date: Saturday, February 4
Where: Third Degree Glass Factory, 5200 Delmar Blvd, Saint Louis, MO 63108
Shifts are: Shift  8am-noon
Info: Holly Hills Neighborhood Association is seeking volunteers to help plant 8000 daffodils in Carondelet Park!  Many hands make light work!  They will have shovels, but feel free to bring your own shovel, gloves etc.  This is a last minute event so plan to show up at the Carondelet Park Boathouse if you are interested in volunteering. Tell them Fuel sent you! 

 Annual WALL BALL Fundraiser and Celebration

Date: Saturday, February 11
Where: Third Degree Glass Factory, 5200 Delmar Blvd, Saint Louis, MO 63108
Shifts are: Day Shift(s) (Light Set Up Duties): Choose a 3 hour block between 10 am and 7 pm
Night Shift Times: Choose a 3 hour block between 7 pm and midnight
Info: SCOSAG is seeking volunteers to work at the Wall Ball, an event that has been rated #1 fundraiser in St. Louis by the RFT! Wall Ball is a unique silent auction featuring the live creative process of 35 top local artists. Throughout the evening’s festivities, these artists create custom artwork, which patrons compete for while enjoying a dazzling party. Volunteers will be assigned to pre-event set up (no heavy lifting), registration, and serving. Those who sign up for pre-event set up will receive a free ticket to attend the event that night. Those who work the event are welcome to stay and play when their shift is done.  St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Date: Saturday, March 17
Where: The Lindbergh Room at the Hilton Ballpark Hotel
Check In: Volunteers check in 10 AM
Info: St. Patrick’s Day Parade organizers are seeking volunteers to serve as Parade Marshalls in this annual downtown parade. Wear comfortable clothes.  A Volunteer after-party will take place at the Hilton Ballpark.  If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at volunteer@fuelforthecity.org.

Annual Mad Hatter’s Pub Crawl

Where: Metroeast Pub Crawl – Kicks Off at Pat’s Bar, 6400 Oakland, Dogtown
When: Saturday, March 31 11 AM-7 PM
Info: A Fuel favorite!! Grab your favorite hat and join Fuel for a pub crawl through Golden Eagle, Grafton, and Alton IL, with a final stop at Fast Eddie’s Bon Air! Tickets include bus transportation on the crawl and to/from Pat’s Bar in Dogtown, breakfast at Pat’s and some sort of concoction to add to your BYOB for the ride.  There will also be prizes awarded for the hat competition. Tickets are $40 before 3/15 and $45 after 3/15, if we don’t sell out first.   Tickets available via check to Fuel, 7333 Coronado Avenue, St. Louis, MO  63116. Please include name, phone and email for each attendee.  Reservations taken with payment on a first come first served basis.No refunds for any reason. Don’t delay. This event typically sells out.

Info: Join us for a special Valentine’s Happy Hour at La Gras!  Bringing a loved one is not required since we’re all about showing love to our fair City!!   Since the February volunteer events take place before the monthly happy hour, this event will be a casual mingle.  Drink Specials all night: $2 Sangrias, $1.50 Domestic Beers for, $2.50 imports.  Appetizers will be provided along with music by Armen Ovchiyev (Music begins at  7:30 PM).  Bring your friends!
